Author Guidelines

PEDOMAN PENULIS (AUTHOR GUIDELINES)

1. Artikel belum pernah dipublikasikan oleh media lain, tidak sedang dalam proses penerbitan di media lain, dan tidak mengandung unsur plagiat. (Article has never been published by other media(s) and not in the process of being published in other media(s) or journal(s); it is also must not conceiving plagiarism.);
   
   
2. Penulis tidak diperkenankan mengirim artikel yang sama ke media lain selama dalam proses, kecuali penulis telah mencabut artikel tersebut sebelumnya dan mendapat persetujuan tertulis dari editor.  (Author is not allowed to send the same article to other media(s) during the process, except the author had withdrawn the article and get letter of allowance from the editor.;
   
   
3. Artikel berupa hasil penelitian (lapangan, kepustakaan). (The article is written in the form of research (field or library study));
4. Naskah diketik menggunakan Microsoft Words (.doc/.docx) dengan format huruf: Book Antiqua, font advanced scale 100, spacing condensed 0,3 pt, position normal pada kertas ukuran A4 dengan ruang sisi 3 cm dari tepi kiri, 3 cm dari tepi kanan, 2,5 cm dari tepi atas dan 3 cm dari tepi bawah, spasi 1, diunggah (upload) melalui laman (website): www.widyaparwa.com. (The document is typed using Microsoft Words (doc/docx) using format: cambria, font advanced scale 100, spacing condensed 0,3 pt, and normal position in A4 paper with space of 3cm left, 3 cm right, 2,5 cm top, and 3 cm bottom, single space, uploaded to the website);
5. Jumlah halaman 12—16 halaman termasuk daftar pustaka dan tabel. (Total pages are 12-16 including references and table(s));
6. Bagian-bagian naskah selanjutnya ditulis dalam format dua kolom. Tubuh teks setelah abstrak diformat dalam dua kolom dengan ketentuan lebar tiap-tiap kolom 7 cm dan jarak antarkolom 1 cm. Judul, abstrak, dan kata kunci ditulis dalam format satu kolom. (Title, abstract, and key words is written in one column, while the other are written in two columns. The abstract’s body text is formatted in two columns with width stipulation of 7 cm in each column and the distance for each column is 1 cm.);
7. Judul, abstrak, dan kata-kata kunci ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris (Title, abstract, and key words are written in Indonesian and English);
8. Artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris. Jika artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia, judul pertama menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dan di bawahnya judul dalam bahasa Inggris, demikian pula sebaliknya (Article is written in Indonesian and English.  If the article is written in Indonesian, the first title should be written in Indonesian, and the second title should be written in English, and vice versa);
9. Abstrak bahasa Indonesia ditempatkan  di atas abstrak bahasa Inggris, baik artikel berbahasa Indonesia maupun Inggris. (Indonesia abstrack must be placed above Engslish abstrackt);
10. Penulisan daftar pustaka menggunakan gaya APA. Penulis dapat mengunjungi http://www.apastyle.org untuk melihat contoh. (Referencing style is APA, author can visit (http://www.apastyle.org) for seeing examples of the reference style);
11. Artikel yang tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan format penulisan  akan dikembalikan kepada penulis untuk diperbaiki (Article not obeying the writing rules proposed by Widyasastra will be rejected and the author must follow the writing rules if he wants to resubmit the article);
12. Hanya artikel yang telah sesuai formatnya yang akan diproses review oleh mitra bebestari (Article will be handed to the editor(s), to be further reviewed, when it is suitable with the writing rules);
13. Penulis bersedia melakukan revisi artikel jika diperlukan dan mematuhi ketentuan batas waktu yang diberikan oleh redaksi (The author must revise the article, if it is needed, and obey the deadline given by the editor);
14. Isi artikel bukan tanggung jawab redaksi, redaksi berhak menyunting artikel tanpa mengubah substansi (Editor has a privilege to edit the article, concerning its language, without changing the essence of the study);
15. Penulis yang naskahnya dimuat dan menginginkan hasil cetak, akan menerima dua cetak nomor bukti pemuatan, tetapi hanya untuk penulis pertama (Author demanding for printed article will get two copies, but only for the first writer (if there are more than one writer));
16. Sistematik artikel disusun dengan urutan sebagai berikut (Article systematic is arranged in the order below):
    
    
    a.      Judul (Title)
    
    a.1. Judul bahasa Indonesia/Inggris: komprehensif, jelas dan singkat. Judul dibatasi tidak lebih dari 20 kata termasuk spasi. Judul artikel, judul bagian, dan subbagian dicetak tebal (Indonesian or English title: comprehensive, precise, and short, the title is limited no more than 20 words including space. Article’s title, chapter’s title, and subchapter’s title are written in bold);
    
    a.2. Judul bahasa Inggris/Indonesia: menyesuaikan dengan judul pertama, jika judul pertama dalam bahasa Indonesia, judul kedua dalam bahasa Inggris, begitu juga sebaliknya sesuai dengan teks (depends on the first title, if the first title is in Indonesian, the second title is in English);
    
    b. Nama dan alamat penulis: nama ditulis lengkap tanpa gelar dan jabatan di bawah judul tanpa menggunakan kata oleh. Di bawah nama penulis dicantumkan alamat lengkap institusi yang dapat dihubungi, nomor telepon, dan alamat email penulis (Name and Author’s Address (Nama dan lamat penulis): complete name is a must, without mentioning university degree or position of job, below the title. Exactly below the name of the author, the address of institution, phone number, and writer’s e-mail address must be written);
    
    c. Abstrak (Abstract): (bahasa Indonesia) merupakan intisari artikel, berjumlah 150—250 kata dan dituangkan dalam satu paragraf tanpa pustaka acuan ((English) maintaining the essence of the article, consisting 150-250 word, and is written in a paragraph without references and citation);
    
    d. Kata-kata kunci (Key Words): Di bawah abstrak dicantumkan kata-kata kunci paling banyak lima kata atau frasa tanpa diakhiri tanda titik. Kata-kata kunci harus mencerminkan konsep penting yang ada di dalam artikel (key words are placed below the abstract consisting not more than five words or phrases without full stop. Key words must mention the main concepts of the article);
    
    e. PENDAHULUAN (INTRODUCTION). Pendahuluan berisi latar belakang, menjelaskan fenomena permasalahan aktual yang diteliti, didukung dengan acuan pustaka dan hasil penelitian terkait sebelumnya yang pernah dilakukan sendiri atau orang lain serta menjelaskan keberadaan penelitian penulis dalam konteks tersebut. Pendahuluan juga berisi masalah (sebaiknya satu masalah saja yang menjadi fokus penelitian), tujuan penelitian, manfaat penelitian, dan teori yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah. Semua sumber yang dirujuk atau dikutip harus dituliskan di dalam daftar pustaka. (no subchapters needed (tanpa subbab): Introduction contains background of the study, explaining the actual phenomenon of the problem studied in the article, supported by references and previous studies that have been done individually or in a group. It must describe the comparison between the article and the previous studies. Introduction contains problem(s) (one focus problem is better), purpose(s) of the study, research significance, and theory used to solve the problem(s). Every resources used in the article must all be cited in the references list);
    
    e. METODE (METHOD). Berisi macam atau sifat penelitian, sumber data, data, teknik pengumpulan data, instrumen pengumpulan data, prosedur pengumpulan data, dan metode analisis data (consists of variety of research characteristics, data source, data, data collection technique(s), data collection instrument(s), data collection procedure(s), and analysis method);
    
    f. HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN (FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION): Disajikan dalam subbab-subbab tidak lebih dari tiga level dan tanpa menggunakan nomor, menyajikan dan membahas secara jelas pokok bahasan dengan mengacu pada masalah dan tujuan penulisan.; Tabel, grafik, gambar, dan/atau foto (jika ada) diberi nomor, judul, dan keterangan lengkap serta dikutip dalam teks. Tabel, grafik, gambar, dan/atau foto diberi nomor sesuai dengan urutan kemunculannya. Data berupa gambar atau tabel hendaknya merupakan data yang sudah diolah. Pencantuman tabel atau gambar yang terlalu panjang (lebih dari 1 halaman) sebaiknya dihindari. Tabel dan gambar harus jelas terbaca dan dapat dicetak dengan baik karena naskah akan dicetak dalam format warna hitam putih (bagi penulis yang menginginkan bukti cetak). Pencantuman tabel atau data yang terlalu panjang (lebih dari satu halaman) sebaiknya dihindari. Perujukan, pengutipan, atau pencantuman gambar, tabel, dan sebagainya menggunakan penomoran, bukan dengan kata-kata “sebagai berikut”, “seperti di bawah ini”, dan sebagainya. Contoh: “Struktur penulisan judul berita pada kolom sastra harian Kompas disajikan dalam tabel 4”. Gambar, tabel, grafik, foto harus diletakkan sedekat mungkin dengan teks yang berhubungan. Tabel hanya menggunakan garis horisontal atau meminimalkan penggunaan garis vertikal. Setiap kolom tabel harus diberi tajuk atau heading (presented in a form of subchapters not more than three levels without using numbering. Showing and explaining the main analysis directly to answer research problem(s) and purpose(s) of the study; Table, graphic, picture, and/or photo (if any) must all be numbered, titled, and noted along with the text’s references. Table and picture must present the result of the study. Table and picture must be presented not more than a page. Table and picture must be well-read and well-printed because the article will be published in white and black (for writers asking for printed publication). Paraphrases of citation, picture, table, etc.uses numbering, for example: “Structure of the news title in Kompas Newspaper is presented in table 4”. Pictures, table, graphic, and pictures must be put as closest as possible to the text which is related.Table should be horizontal orminimizing the use of vertical lines. Every table’s column should includeheading);
    
    g. SIMPULAN (CONCLUSION): simpulan harus menjawab permasalahan dan tujuan penelitian. Simpulan bukan ringkasan dan bukan pula tulisan ulang dari pembahasan (Conclusion must answer the problem(s) and purpose(s) of the study. Conclusion is not in the form of a summary and not a repetition of findings and discussion);
    
    h. DAFTAR PUSTAKA (REFERENCES): Pustaka yang diacu hendaknya 80% merupakan sumber primer dan hendaknya berasal dari hasil-hasil penelitian, gagasan, teori/konsep yang telah diterbitkan di jurnal ilmiah, baik cetak maupun elektronik. Acuan yang dirujuk merupakan hasil publikasi 10 tahun terakhir, terkecuali acuan klasik yang digunakan sebagai bahan kajian historis (References should come from 80% of original studies, result of the research, idea, and theory or concept which is published in the electronic journal(s) or paper publication(s). References must be maximum ten years old for, except for classic references as historical data)

PEDOMAN PENGIRIMAN ARTIKEL ONLINE (GUIDELINE FOR ONLINE SUBMISSION)

Penulis harus terlebih dahulu mendaftar sebagai penulis melalui alamat berikut (Author should first register as Author through the following address: https://widyaparwa.com/index.php/widyasastra/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions.)

Penulis harus mengisi lengkap pada kolom yang bertanda bintang. Setelah seluruh kolom terisi, penulis meng-klik tombol “Register” untuk proses pendaftaran. Selanjutnya, penulis akan berada pada tampilan dimana penulis harus meng-klik tombol “New Submission”. Untuk awal pengiriman artikel baru, klik “Click Here”untuk tahapan pertama dari lima tahapan pengiriman artikel. Berikut adalah lima tahapan proses pengiriman artikel (The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process):

LANGKAH 1 (STEP 1) – Pilih jenis naskah yang akan dikirim pada bagian “Section”, Artikel (penelitian) atau Review. Selanjutnya penulis harus menandai seluruh kolom yang tersedia. Penulis dapat menuliskan atau mengcopy-paste pengantar kepa redaktur di kolom “Comments for Editor”. Klik “Save and Continue. (Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e. Articles (Research) or Review Article. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste Covering Letter in Letter to Editor. Click “Save and Continue”);

LANGKAH 2 (STEP 2) – Unggah Naskah: Untuk mengunggah naskah, klik “Browse” pada bagian “Submission File” dan pilih naskah/file (.doc/.docx), kemudian klik “Upload” hingga naskah berhasil diunggah. Klik “Save and Continue” (Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded.).

LANGKAH 3 (STEP 3) – Memasukkan data naskah: Di bagian ini, data penulis harus diisikan pada kolom yang bertanda bintang. Setelah itu, judul naskah, abstrak, dan kata kunci harus diisikan dengan cara copy dan paste pada kolom yang disediakan (Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords)

LANGKAH 4 (STEP 4) – Unggah Naskah Lampiran: Naskah lampiran harus dilengkapi dengan data dengan cara mengisi kolom yang disediakan. Setelahnya, klik “Browse”, pilih naskah, dan selanjutnya klik “Upload” (Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button).

LANGKAH 5 (STEP 5) – Konfirmasi: Penulis harus memeriksa naskah pada tahapan ini. Untuk mengirimkan ke Widyasastra, klik “Finish Submission” setelah dokumen seluruhnya lengkap. Penulis akan menerima balasan resmi melalui pos-el dan dapat melihat perkembangan proses dengan cara masuk ke situs www.widyasastra.com (Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Atavisme, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site: www.widyasastra.com)

Setelah mengirim naskah, penulis akan menerima konfirmasi melalui pos-el. Selanjutnya, penulis dapat memonitor setiap saat status naskah dengan cara masuk ke tayangan antarmuka penulis. Monitoring naskah mencakupi review mitra bebestari dan proses editorial (After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process).

Kolom Cek Naskah (Submission Preparation Checklist)

• Sebagai bagian dari proses pengiriman, penulis diharuskan memeriksa kelengkapan sesuai item yang disediakan, dan naskah dapat dikembalikan kepada penulis yang tidak memenuhi panduan ini (As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines).
• Naskah yang diajukan belum pernah diterbitkan di jurnal lain atau sedang diproses di jurnal lain (atau kolom Komentar untuk Penyunting telah diisi (The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• Naskah dikirim dalam bentuk dokumen OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, atau WordPerfect. (The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.)
• Referensi berupa URL harus dicantumkan (jika ada) (Where available, URLs for the references have been provided).
• Naskah diketik dengan satu spasi; menggunakan huruf berukuran 12; dan sebaiknya menggunakan cetak miring daripada garis bawah (kecuali alamat URL). Ilustrasi, gambar, foto, dan tabel diletakkan dekat narasi yang berhubungan, bukan di akhir naskah. Ilustrasi, gambar, foto, dan tabel diusahakan tidak terpotong ke halaman selanjutnya (The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.)
• Penulisan naskah wajib menaati gaya penulisan dan tata cara pengutipan yang telah ditentukan sesuai Panduan bagi Penulis yang dapat dicermati di Tentang Jurnal (The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.)
• Jika naskah dimasukkan ke bagian penelaahan tertutup (anonim) dalam jurnal, petunjuk Jaminan Penelaahan Sejawat Tertutup telah ditaati (If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

PERJANJIAN HAKCIPTA TRANSFER harus diunggah pada sistem ini pada menu “Supplementari Files” (COPYRIGHT TRANSFER AGREEMENTS must be uploaded to this system on Supplementary Files Menu).

Penulis yang memublikasikan naskah di jurnal ini menyetujui persyaratan berikut (Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms):

1. Copyright on any article is retained by the author(s)
2. Author grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal)
3. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.

ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES AND SUBMISSION CHARGES

Setiap artikel yang dikirimkan ke Widyaparwa tidak akan dipungut biaya pemrosesan artikel atau biaya pengiriman. Di dalamnya proses penilaian, pengeditan, penerbitan, pemeliharaan dan pengarsipan, dan keteraksesan teks artikel secara lengkap.

Every article submitted to Widyaparwa will not have any article processing charges or submission charges. This includes peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full-text versions of the articles.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
